Tributes to our guest
who have gone over Rainbow Bridge
CORGIE
Well, Corgie was a male Corgie.

Yes, one of my creative friends.

We didn't have the pleasure of having Corgie too often.
He went with the family!
However, we had him a couple of times
when he was young and adorable,
as Corgies are!
Then years went by and our Corgie reappeared again.
He was an old man by now,
but happy to see him nevertheless.
Then I believe it was last summer
that my friend notified me that the family
had to say good bye to our friend.
Of course these are sad moments in our lives
for the family and for us.
Thank you Adrienne and Scott
for giving us the privilege in
taking care of Corgie when we did.
BAKER
Baker was a beautiful German Shorthair Pointer -
my friend's son's dog.
His disposition was so very sweet and
reminded me of my dog Thor.
So.... I loved him a lot!!
He was energetic, playful
and loved to run in our yard.
Recently, he had implant surgery on his
back leg and was a few weeks into recovery
when his parents asked us to care for him
for a few days.
They were still a bit concerned with his
recovery for he was still not touching
the ground with his back paw.
(The Dr. told them he wanted to see him only in 4 weeks time)

We watched him carefully. We didn't think
it looked normal and notified his parents.
They took him to the Dr. when they came back.
Sadly, we were notified later that week
that the implant was not taking.
The fact that they were moving to CO
the next week had forced them to make
some serious decisions - it was so sad.
We would of course preferred
imagining Baker frolicking and hiking in CO ,
but unfortunately it did not end that way.
We were so grateful to have taken
care of him in his last 2 weeks of his life,
loving on him, feeding him ,
making him comfortable
and seeing him among his canine buddies.
His family experienced a great loss,
but we know Baker will bring them to
another to love at the right time.
